How to run your first Facebook ad in Nigeria without wasting money

Most first ads fail for boring reasons: no clear offer, a weak picture, or sending people to a page that does not make buying easy. Fix those before you spend a naira.

1. Know exactly what you are selling

Write down the product name, the price, who it is for and the one problem it solves. If you cannot say it in one sentence, your ad will not be clear either.

2. Get your set-up right first

  • A Facebook Page for your business (ads run as your Page).
  • An ad account that is in good standing.
  • A pixel, so Meta can see who ordered.
  • Somewhere easy to order: an order form, a page, or WhatsApp.

3. Start with a small, steady budget

Do not start big. A small daily budget for a few days gives you real information. Judge the ad by orders, not likes.

4. Use one clear picture and a short message

Show the product in use. Say who it is for, what it does and what to do next. Remove everything that does not help someone decide.

5. Check before you launch

  • Does the link or WhatsApp button work on your own phone?
  • Is the price clear?
  • Can you reply to customers quickly?

Revora walks you through all of this in our first-ad guide.
